how to delete win backup files

Hi,

I normally just right click on mine and select DELETE just like any other folder...

What type of error are you having ?

If you just delete it like that, it does not delete everything in the folder. It leaves shadow copy backup data. I am trying to avoid this.

Hi,

I have never noticed anything like that, but my machine is not using any type of auto backup features that would trigger that... I don't think anyway...

Have you tried using "Disk Cleanup" (C:\Windows\System32\cleanmgr) "As Administrator" on that drive ?

I have tried disk cleanup with admin. This is all i see

Now mind you this hard drive partition "(O:)" on my external hard drive is also my File History partition. I made a windows 10 system image with the "backup and restore (windows 7)" program located on the control panel. This what my the partition root looks like:

Hi,

I don't actually know how using File History may conflict with deleting the WindowsImageBackup..

I have never used that feature, and as a result, have never encountered any conflicts...

Sorry I can't be more helpful with that..
